Aloe vera (organic): Cold pressed. Has strong anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties and is a well known healing and soothing agent. Suitable for burns, skin irritations and raw open wounds.

Andiroba seed oil: Produced by small communities of the South American Rain Forest. It has anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-parasitic properties. Used as a wound healer and insect repellant, and for insect bites, boils, rashes and skin problems such as dermatitis, heat rash and skin fungi.

Aniseed essential oil (organic): Has antiseptic and stimulant properties. Not to be used in pregnancy.

Apple natural perfume (organic): Certified organic by Ecocert, this is a blend of essential oils and botanical CO2 extracts extracted from sources such as fruit and berries.

Apricot Kernel oil (organic): Cold pressed. It has a soft and smooth feel on the skin. It enhances skin elasticity and is used for dry, ageing, inflamed, itchy and sensitive skin. Rich in monounsaturated fatty acids (omega 7 & 9), and contains vitamins E and B17.

Avocado oil (organic): Cold pressed from the pulp. It is mild and nourishing, very moisturising and very well absorbed. It is excellent for night creams as it is very rich in vitamins and sterols, and helps increase collagen in the skin.

Calendula oil (organic): Calendula flowers, better known as marigolds, have been macerated in organic jojoba oil. Calendula is known for its healing qualities to treat damaged and irritated skin. Suitable for all skin types including babies.

Candelilla wax: Comes from the shrubby candelilla plant and is used in balms as a vegan substitute for beeswax. Provides gloss and lubricity.

Cardamom essential oil (organic): Used for fatigue, stress and as a general tonic.

Cassia essential oil (organic): Has antiseptic properties. Caution, possible skin irritant. Not to be used in pregnancy.

Cetyl alcohol: Made from palm kernel oil. Used as a stabiliser.

Cinnamon essential oil (organic): Used for easing muscular and joint pains. Has antiseptic and astringent properties. To be avoided during pregnancy.

Clove essential oil (organic): Helps to lift depression and stimulate the mind. Used for arthritis, rheumatism and sprains.

Cocoa butter (organic): Extracted from cacao seeds and has been used to moisturise and keep skin soft and supple for centuries.

Cocoamidopropyl betaine: A mild and gentle cleanser produced from coconut oil.

Coconut aroma (organic): Certified by Ecocert.

Coconut butter (virgin organic): It is absorbed slowly by the skin and has a softening and soothing effect on sensitive and irritated skin. Helps to protect from the elements.

Coenzyme Q10: This is a vitamin like substance and powerful antioxidant which fights free radicals that cause damage and aging to our skin. It can also promote collagen and elastin production. Used in anti-wrinkle creams.

Copaiba balsam: Produced by small communities of the South American Rain Forest. Has anti-inflammatory, antifungal and pain relieving properties. Used for acne, athlete’s foot and infected wounds.

Decyl glucoside: A mild and gentle cleanser produced from sugar.

Eucalyptus essential oil (organic): A great winter remedy, its antiviral, antibacterial and expectorant properties, make it ideal for treating coughs, colds, blocked noses, bronchitis and catarrh. Recent studies by research company Kao demonstrates the therapeutic effect of eucalyptus extract on the skin's outer layer function, showing that it has the ability to improve the skin function on the outer layer in dry skin by increasing ceramide levels in the stratum corneum, in the epidermis and in keratinocytes.

Glycerin (organic): Produced from sustainable palm oil production in Venezuela. Used as a softening and moisturising agent.

Glyceryl stearate: An emulsifier produced from coconut and palm kernel oils and glycerin, with stearic acid (a natural essential fatty acid, similar to omega 3). Used in the Scandinavian food industry to make vegan ice cream. Our producer is a member of RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil).

Grapefruit essential oil (organic): Cold pressed from the fresh peel. Helps tone the skin, whilst being uplifting and refreshing.

Green mandarin essential oil (organic): Uplifting and beneficial for all skin types.

Green tea (certified to international Fairtrade standards): Studies show many benefits for the skin. High in antioxidants to scavenge free radicals, and anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.

Jojoba oil (organic): Cold pressed. Easily absorbed and leaves a velvety feel on the skin. It softens, protects and improves suppleness and helps the skin hold its moisture making it especially good for dry skin. It is very high in monounsaturated fatty acids (omega 7 & 9), and has anti-bacterial and antifungal properties. It helps to balance the production of sebum (the skin’s natural oil), making it good for both dry and oily skin types.

Lactic acid: Adjusts the pH to match the natural pH of the skin to around 5.5.

Lavender essential oil (organic): Tones and revitalises the skin and is useful for all types of skin problems such as abscesses, acne, athlete’s foot, boils, bruises, burns, insect bites, itching and sprains as it is antibiotic, antiseptic, anti-viral and anti-fungal.

Lemon essential oil (organic): Cold pressed. Used for acne, athlete’s foot, chilblains, dull or oily skin, varicose veins and warts. Clears away dead skin.

Lemongrass essential oil (organic): Used for acne, athlete’s foot, excessive perspiration, muscle aches and oily skin. It is also great to revive the mind when feeling lethargic and to energize as well as relieving fatigue. Caution, not to be used on damaged or hypersensitive skin.

Lime essential oil (organic): Used to cleanse, purify and renew the spirit and mind. It helps with cellulite and has an astringent and toning action to clear oily skin and acne.

Macadamia nut oil (organic): Cold pressed from the nuts of the tree. This is a rich fatty oil, slowly absorbed by the skin but leaves the skin very soft, smooth and conditioned. This makes it particularly good for mature and dry skin which has difficulty retaining its moisture.

Maychang essential oil (organic): Steam distilled. It is a beautiful lemony oil, with anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, cooling and calming properties.

Mipa laureth sulphate: A mild and gentle cleanser produced from palm kernel oil.

Olive oil (Palestinian, organic extra virgin, fairtrade certified): Cold pressed. Has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and anticoagulant properties. Good for chapped, dry, mature and sensitive skin as it protects against the elements and helps the skin retains its moisture. It is good for poor blood circulation and cramps. Our olive oil is grown and hand picked in family-owned groves around the Jenin area of the West Bank, Palestine.

Orange essential oil (organic): Helps to lift the mind and eliminate toxins, and stimulates the lymphatic system to decongest the skin. Also helps to support collagen formation in the skin required for a healthy, young-looking skin. Has antiseptic, anti-depressant, anti-inflammatory and tonic properties.

Panthenol (provitamin B5): It is very moisturising, helps repair skin tissue and protects the skin naturally against sunburn, providing relief for existing sunburn, and enhancing the natural tanning process.

Peppermint essential oil (organic): From a fairtrade organic mint project in Uttar Pradesh. Has analgesic, anaesthetic, antiseptic, astringent and decongestant properties. Helps to stimulate the mind, increase mental agility and focus, cool the skin, reduce redness, irritation and itchiness. Used for dermatitis, acne, ringworm and sunburn. To be avoided during pregnancy.

Pomegranate natural perfume (organic): Certified organic by Ecocert, this is a blend of essential oils and botanical CO2 extracts extracted from sources such as fruit and berries.

Preservative 12 (Phenoxyethanol, ethylhexylglycerin): A natural broad spectrum preservative, effective against bacteria, yeasts, mould and fungi. It is non-irritant and non-allergenic. Recommended for products that treat sensitive skin.

Preservative K (Benzyl alcohol, phenoxyethanol, potassium sorbate): A broad spectrum preservative, effective against bacteria, yeasts, mould and fungi. It is now accepted by the Soil Association as part of an organic cosmetic product.

Red raspberry seed oil: Cold pressed. It is excellent for sensitive skin and is deeply nourishing and softening, and high in anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
It provides a barrier for protection whilst retaining moisture in the skin and improving elasticity. Also has a natural sun protection factor.

Rose essential oil: A lovely, heavenly, sweet fragrance with benefits for dry, wrinkled and sensitive skin. It is mildly astringent and is said to relieve headaches when applied to the forehead. It is an antidepressant and soothes emotions.

Rosehip oil (organic): Cold pressed. It has a wonderful soothing, moisturising and softening effect on the skin, and helps to reduce fine lines around the eyes and helps improve elasticity. It is a fantastic source of omega 3 & 6 essential fatty acids and is used to treat all kinds of skin problems such as acne, pimples, boils, eczema and psoriasis.

Rosemary antioxidant CO2 extract (organic): An antioxidant that extends the life of plant oils.

Safflower oil (organic): Cold pressed. Has a higher content of omega 6 than any other plant oil making it nourishing for the skin and helping to relieve poor blood circulation and cramps. It is absorbed very quickly by the skin. Good for all skin types, particularly oily or large pored, sensitive or damaged.

Sandalwood essential oil (organic): Helps promote skin hydration, therefore used for chapped, dry, ageing or sensitive skin. Its astringent and toning effects are used for oily skin. Known to help itching and inflammation.

Seabuckthorn berry extract (organic): Has anti-inflammatory properties and helpful in treating red, irritated skin and sunburn.

Shea butter (organic): From a women’s fairtrade project in Ghana. Good for moisturising, giving protection from the sun and healing the skin, especially dry and damaged. It has mildly anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.

Siberian ginseng extract: Used for thousands of years as an immune stimulator to fight infections of the skin, it is now used for its skin-tightening properties in skin firming products.

Sodium stearoyl lactylate: An emulsifier derived from lactic acid and vegetable-based stearic acid. Used in the Scandinavian food industry to make vegan ice cream.

Starflower (borage) oil: Cold pressed. It has an exceptionally high content of Gamma Linolenic Acid GLA) which is needed by the body to create prostaglandins, and is also a good source of omega 3 & 6. It penetrates deep down into the skin and is great for skin prone to eczema, psoriasis and acne, and dry, mature skin. Is also used for skin rejuvenation and scar treatment products.

Strawberry aroma (organic): Made from organic raw materials controlled by EcoCert.

Sunflower oil (organic): Cold pressed. High in omega 6 makes it nourishing for the skin and good for treating skin bruises. Used for acne and dry skin.

Tea tree essential oil (organic): Has antimicrobial, antiseptic, antiviral and antifungal properties. Used for acne, athlete’s foot, chicken pox, cold sores, cuts, insect bites, itching, oily skin, ringworm, spots and warts.

Turmeric (organic): Other than its beautiful yellow colour, it is anti-carcinogenic, antifungal, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial. It has been used against impetigo and skin infections.

Vitamin A: It nourishes the skin and helps to prevent skin disorders. It is used for dry, lifeless skin and in anti-wrinkle creams

Vitamin C: This is essential for the formation of collagen. It also acts as an antioxidant.

Vitamin E: An antioxidant that extends the life of plant oils. It also protects against the destruction of the skin’s connective tissue caused by free radicals from pollution and the sun which age the skin more quickly.

Xanthan gum: Produced from glucose. Used as a stabiliser and thickener.
